Last night was nothing short of spectacular for the Thunder, who clinched their ticket to the NBA Finals with a dominant 124-94 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. This marks their first Finals appearance since 2012. From the moment the Thunder hit the court, it was clear they were on a mission, sprinting ahead to a 26-9 lead by the end of the first quarter. The energy in the arena was electric, and the Thunder never let up, extending their lead to a whopping 34 points in the fourth quarter.

A standout performance came from none other than the league MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He proved why he's the big dill, showcasing a stellar game with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. His dominance set the tone for the night, and he really was the heartbeat of the Thunder's offensive powerhouse.

Supporting Shai was Chet Holmgren, who put up an impressive 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks. His presence in the paint was a nightmare for the Timberwolves. Jalen Williams added his bit of flair with 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Luguentz Dort made sure everyone heard the swish with his 12 points, including four from beyond the arc.

On the flip side, it just wasn’t the Timberwolves' night. They seemed out of sync, with the numbers reflecting their struggle. Julius Randle led their efforts with 24 points and 5 rebounds, but the team as a whole shot a lowly 41.2% from the field and amassed 21 turnovers. Anthony Edwards did his part with 19 points and 6 rebounds, but starting point guard Mike Conley couldn’t make an imprint, ending scoreless with just one assist to his name.

Coach Chris Finch summed it up by saying, "We just struggled to find a rhythm. Everyone was kind of trying to do it all by themselves. We lost our connectivity. But all credit to the Thunder. They played outstanding.” A tough pill to swallow for the Timberwolves, but they’ll bounce back.

Now let's pivot to the Eastern Conference, where the Indiana Pacers are just one win away from the Finals, holding a 3-1 lead over the New York Knicks. Game 5 is set for tonight in the Big Apple.
