While the Royals had a day off from Major League action, there was plenty happening down in the minors with some exciting updates from our future stars. So, let’s batter up and see what the farm system delivered!

We’ll start with what's happening in Omaha. The Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers were front and center, stealing the spotlight. Jac Caglianone, a highly anticipated prospect, hit his first Triple-A home run, and, let me tell you, it was a beauty—a 410-foot blast that had everyone talking. But Jac didn’t stop there! Alongside Cam Devanney and MJ Melendez, he was part of an impressive offensive show: back-to-back-to-back home runs. The Storm Chasers' bats were on fire and it made for an electrifying game.

Omaha’s defense also brought their A-game. Justin Johnson made a sensational diving catch that could only be described as adventurous. If you missed it, let’s just say it was one of those catches that keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering if he’ll pull it off—and, boy, did he ever.

Switching gears to Double-A action, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals had their own slice of baseball brilliance. Sam Ruta, another standout Royals prospect, has been on a tear recently. He hit his third home run in just two games with a solo shot to right field. Sam is definitely heating up and putting everyone on notice. He's proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with and someone Kansas City fans should keep their eyes on.

Now, as you know, each episode of Big Dill Sports, I pick a player who’s a ‘big dill,’ a real standout, someone who’s making waves and deserves the spotlight. Today’s big dill: Jac Caglianone. That first Triple-A home run was no small feat, folks, and his power display alongside fellow teammates solidifies his status as a prospect to keep on your radar. So, hats off to Jac for a stellar day at the plate and an emerging career that's sure to be peppered with excitement and potential.
