Unfortunately for the Royals’ fans, it was a tough day at the ballpark as they were shut out in the series finale against Detroit. But as with every match, there's always something positive we can take away, starting with a standout performance on the mound.

Chris Bubic was absolutely lights-out for Kansas City. This guy showed everyone he's a force to be reckoned with, pitching seven innings while giving up just one run and tying his career high with nine strikeouts. Can you believe his ERA dropped even more, moving down from an already incredible 1.45 to 1.43? That's the best in the major leagues, folks. Let’s not forget, Bubic is coming back strong from Tommy John surgery just last year and he’s proving to be a consistent powerhouse, especially when the Royals need someone to eat up those innings. He’s definitely this episode's 'big dill'!
