The Astros showed their powerhouse prowess with Yordan Alvarez leading the charge, launching a massive 436-foot three-run homer to center field. That's his third of the season, and it was nothing short of magnificent. Jeremy Peña added to the Astros' lead with three RBIs, crucially knocking in two runs with a clutch two-out double in the sixth. Then there was Chas McCormick—he was on fire, going 3-for-4 and crossing the plate three times. His performance certainly helped keep the Astros’ momentum going.

On the mound, Hunter Brown displayed an impressive outing, strengthening his record to 4-1. He hurled for six solid innings, allowing just one earned run from seven hits while fanning nine Royals hitters. Pitching win in his pocket, Brown certainly kept the Royals in check for most of the game.

Our Royals didn’t go down without a fight, though. Jonathan India showed his hustle, reaching base three times and going 2-for-3 with a walk, a run, and a sac fly RBI. Veteran Salvador Perez was a consistent contributor as always, marking his third multi-hit game over the past four starts. Bobby Witt Jr. continued to wow everyone by extending his hitting streak to an impressive 19 games—the longest current streak in the majors. The hits were there; 11 to be exact, but alas, stranding seven runners proved costly and snapped their six-game winning streak.

Now moving to our player spotlight, each episode I like to shine a light on one standout performer who truly earns the title of our 'big dill'. This time, it's Bobby Witt Jr. His stellar form lately and that ongoing hitting streak highlight his critical role for the team. You can't help but appreciate his consistency and clutch ability at the plate.
